Mark Hamill becomes Yoda during filming for Star Wars VIII

Mmmmmm, heavier you are!

Mark Hamill didn’t really do much in The Force Awakens. More of a set-up for Episode VIII. But, it was Daisy Ridley’s birthday yesterday. Ridley played the female hero, Rey, in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

During filming for Episode VIII, co-star Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker in the series, tweeted the following picture and birthday message.

The picture shows Hamill on Ridley’s back, which is reminiscent of the training scene in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. In the scene, Luke is learning the powers of the force with the help of Yoda who is being piggy-backed.

This time however, Mark Hamill is seen on Ridley’s back. He doesn’t seem to be as small or light as the little green jedi, Master Yoda! But credit to Daisy Ridley who seems like she has been bulking for her latest film, Episode VIII (a joke, of course!)

Star Wars Episode VIII is set to release on December 15th, 2017.
